Polk Photographer Has Work Chosen For State Loan Program

Local photographer Amanda Kiplinger has had one of her photographs titled "Ohio Summer Landscape" accepted into the Ohio Govenor's Office and Residence Artwork Loan Program.

Several Ohio artists will have their artwork displayed at Gov. Kasich's office and residence.

Kiplinger of Polk, created this photograph in one of the Ashland County Park District parks, Sprinkles Serenity, located in northern Ashland County.

According to the Ohio Arts Council website, "The program provides exposure for Ohio artists and the artworks from Ohio institutions and museums to the visitors of the Ohio governor's residence and the governor's office. The exhibition also promotes the wide variety of artwork that is being created in Ohio and the vibrant artist communities located throughout Ohio. The program provides Ohio citizens, legislators, state of Ohio employees and national and international guests the opportunity to view the artistic accomplishments of artists living and working in Ohio."

Kiplinger is a landscape photographer. A self-taught photographer, she has also written articles for Heart of Ohio and Nature Photographer magazines. Most recently, she had two pieces accepted in a gallery show titles "The View" in Rosewood Gallery in Kettering, Ohio and has a photo accepted in the Ohio State Fair Fine Art Competition

She is the owner of Crooked Creek Photos, LL and lives with her husband of 20 years, Chuck. She has four step-children, Amy, Jason, April and Abby, one daughter Catie, and nine grandchildren.
