North American P 51 Mustang Photos

February 13th, 2012 - Lexington, SC

Steven Richardson Fine Art Images of Lexington, South Carolina is proud to present two new aviation prints. These images capture the beauty and elegance of the North American P-51 Mustang. The Mustang was among the best and most well-known fighters used by the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II. With its excellent range and maneuverability, it operated primarily as a long-range escort fighter, but was also used as a ground attack fighter-bomber. The Mustang served in nearly every combat zone during WWII, and later fought in the Korean War. Both images titled �Angels� Playmate� were captured during the Carolinas Virginia Antique Airplane Foundation Fall Vintage Fly-In at the historic Camden Woodward field in Camden, South Carolina.
