Louisiana Fine Artist Nadjah D. Bergeron Is Breaking The Mold With La Flor Series Not Your Regular Flower Art

October 16th, 2014 - Houma, LA

Nadjah Darwish Bergeron’s “La Flor Series” (“The Flower Series”) will be showcased at the Chase Tower Bank during Art Walk in Downtown Lafayette on November 8th, 2014. The series consist of oversized unique flowers, full of texture and rich in colors. Nadjah’s art will be exhibited throughout the month of November at the bank’s lobby.

Originally from Panama, Central America, Nadjah moved to the United States in 1993. After working in the Oilfield for over 10 years, in 2007, she decided to become a stay at home mom with the birth of her second child. By 2011, she had managed to teach herself the art of painting, creating a very distinctive and recognizable style inspired by both her Latin origins and Louisiana’s rich culture. Using modeling paste, acrylics and cut glass on large gallery wrapped canvases (usually 48” x 48” x 1-1/2”), the result is a flower that breaks the mold and stands out from the rest.

The Houma based artist believes in “following her passion” which explains why she decided to give up her career as an Industrial Engineer and explore her artistic inclinations. She believes it to be the “best and scariest” decision she has ever made. Nadjah is quickly becoming a well known artist in her community as well as her home country Panama. She sees a bright future ahead of her, full of flowers, texture, color and passion.

Nadjah’s flowers represent for her “the essence and soul of every woman, each precious, beautiful and unique, in their very own way.” broihier Ends
