Jim Christiansen Solo Show At The Wedding Loft In Modesto

Jim Christiansen show at The Wedding Loft during the April 17 Downtown Modesto Third Thursday Art Walk at the Wedding Loft held over to May 14, in the upstairs gallery. Christiansen is an award winning artist, and the show features his remaining Jazz series oils, and watercolors from shows at Mezzo in Stockton, Tresetti's in Modesto, one of his CCAA 2008 Spring Show winners, and recent works. Showing with Liquor Lights artist Vincent Sandoval III, at The Wedding Loft, 1321 J Street, Modesto, CA 95354. Viewing the art is Free.
The Wedding Loft is an upscale Wedding Resource Center where brides or anyone planning a special event can "shop" for all of their wedding professionals. Newly opened, it is a comfortable place to shop for wedding services. April 17, The Wedding Loft hosted its first artist to try out the gallery space display areas. Jim Christiansen is that artist, and has been held over for a month. Jim has 45 pieces in the show, sales already made. Show includes one of his award winners, and large format watercolors from shows at Mezzo in Stockton, and Tresetti's in Modesto. At 1321 I Street, The Wedding Loft is open 10 am to 7 pm, Monday through Friday or by appointment. Viewing the art is FREE.
Jim Christiansen is also showing downtown Modesto this month at nearby Crow Trading Company, 1208 J Street, and at the Stanislaus County Registrar's Office His studio is at home in Modesto. Jim has had solo shows at the UC Riverside Alumni Center Goldware Family Library gallery, California Institute of Mental Health, and you can see some of his printmaking at O'Reilly's Irish Pub in San Francisco, and the Boyleston Chess Club in Cambridge, MA. He is a graduate of UC Riverside, 1977 He is also the Art View column writer for Modesto View, found monthly on page seven.
