Ahh.. Clafoutis! A custard-like savory dish, with tiny tomatoes, olives, goat cheese and courgettes..(zucchini) & herbs de Provence, in a thin pastry buttered crust. There is, of course, a variety of this appetizer..a favorite with cherries or apricots for dessert.
We were visiting "The Book Village" .. at our favorite Cafe terrace not far from our village. We were taking in the sights with friends from NY.
It was a beautiful June day..perfect! ..for lunch and a glass of chilled Sauvignon Blanc.. Under the cafes Red Umbrella.. mais.. Zut! Une mouche!
