The 2 Paintings on display by artist Carol Rashawnna Williams:

1. Evolution of the Soul

It takes a village to raise a child. To eat 1 fish given to you settles starvation, but to learn to fish brings on abundance for you and those around you. What do we stand for as a nation, as an intricate part of a solution we created regarding both heritage and legacy? Can we face our privilege, assumptions, and historical empirical legacy of consumption at any cost?; cultures, the environment and human souls. Equity & legacy: evolution in action; Co existing with nature, the environment, ourselves and others. All lives matter, from infancy to generations in the future. Can we learn to swim the rivers of Race and climate justice which is at the heart of every single policy and decision made in this country, on thru to an ocean of equity for all?

Now is the time and truly anything is possible!

2. I can't Breathe

Sometimes I just can't breathe: student debt, medical care and long term care costs for an elderly parent, education systems in ruins, housing costs gentrifying my neighborhood, religious beliefs constraining my spirituality, news reports telling half truths about what's really going on, GMO in my food supply and almost every man of color I know incarcerated at some point in their life with no time to strategize on solutions because of 50 hour work weeks, and making life work on 1 income as a single parent, feeling a little tarred and feathered. Angels where are you? I just can't breathe!
