Austin Artist Selected For Taylor Art Exhibition

April 14th, 2015 - Austin, TX

Twice annually the Taylor Arts Guild of Taylor in Central Texas mounts a juried exhibition, in the spring and fall. This spring the theme of the exhibition is Eat Me, Drink Me and artists across the state and nation are eligible to submit to the show which runs from April 16th until May 20 at 120 Gallery, 120 W. Second Street in downtown Taylor, TX.

Austin artist Dan Terry must have resonated with the jurors on this particular show. Artists are allowed to enter a maximum of three works, and for the first time in the artist's long history of juried submissions all three works were selected for exhibition. All three are brand new works done within the past two months. They may be seen on the artist's website at www.dan-terry.artistwebsites.com.

The three works that will premier at the Taylor Guild exhibition are "Bliss" a 4x5' oil on canvas, "Eve's Garden", a 4x8' oil on board, and "Bad Apple", a 24x32" acrylic on board. The artist is becoming known for his "neo-classical' style where the works have a classical representational approach yet very modern emotion evoking character.
