As you know, my chief passions are triathlons and art. Wine, great food, and movies are passions, too, if you know me well.
Competing in the sport of triathlon elicits many emotions, as any triathlete knows. Training is a huge commitment. Some days are great, some mediocre. The competitions are the same. You experience everything from uncertainty to elation during each competition. It's a battle of mind over body. Ultimately, the brain must win out if you're to succeed in the sport.
These myriad emotions are great subjects for my artwork. Presently, I am working on a piece entitled, "Eyes on the Prize." It features an athlete at work, at her desk, dreaming about her next event.
Here's to passion. Find it. Fuel it. Enjoy it!
