Artist Angela Cannon Announces Herself To The Art World

Artist Angela Cannon takes the big plunge to let the art world know that she has arrived. Although being a member of Fine Art America since February of this year, she has been reluctant to share her beautiful abstract and mixed media pieces for fear that "people won't like it." Angela is a very new and emerging artist, with big hopes and dreams of becoming part of the art world family. After leaving a stressful career in Corrections, Angela has taken to painting as her way of giving back. "I put my heart and soul into all my paintings and I want people to get the same joy out of them as I do when I create them." Angela is a self taught artist, learning and experimenting with just about anything she can get her hands on. Angela is becoming known around the Cowichan Valley, on Vancouver Island, BC where she lives, for her "Scatterbrain" collections. "These are going to be my signature paintings, it's how I explain what goes on in this head of mine sometimes," she says with a laugh, "they are just so unique!" Angela has entered art shows this past summer, winning "Best of the Best" at the Cowichan Valley Fine Art Show. "It was so awesome, it kind of reassured me that this is what I was meant to be doing, I felt so honoured." Angela wants to incorporate her "Scatterbrain" designs into home decor products and scrapbooking papers as well. "That would be my ultimate dream, to have my art in homes around the world."
