Mixed media artist Tinatin has an impressive versatility of subject matter and unimpeachable style. Working in oil, gold leaf, ink & brush on canvas and paper, her academic background in the Fine Arts and study of Fashion Design allows her to move freely between genres whilst still maintaining a codified signature. Stylization and color are distinctive features throughout the oeuvre with a powerful emphasis on the female form and its adornment. As an image-maker Tinatin luxuriates in the velvety folds of fabric, ornate patterning and texture - imagery which references classical Baroque painting as well as contemporary couture.
