Terrance Robinson will exhibit his most recent works at Visual Arts Gallery, Southern University from August 27, 2014 to October 30, 2014. Reception will be on September 5, 2014 at 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The artist will be present for gallery talks among other visual artists from across the country. As a special feature to the exhibition, Robinson will be auctioning off his works on Ebay.com to the highest bidder.

“Ancestors Are Watching Series” are terra cotta clay works that have been developed by way of preliminary sketches and clay studies for over five years. Carving, embellishing, hand-building, and slab techniques were primarily used to construct this series of artworks.

Discovering clay and its many uses have become imperative to Robinson’s journey and success as a creative person. His works are influenced by African pots and works by Augusta Savage, Dave the Potter, Elizabeth Catlett, Henry Moore, and Richmond Barthe.

He is available for art commissions, exhibitions, teaching positions, and workshops. Learn more about the artist and scholar by clicking on links below.
