PRESS RELEASE Bamboozle Tea Lounge presents: “A LOTUS BLOOMS IN TAMPA BAY” Art and Photography of Nicki LaRosa February 12-March 12, 2015 Bamboozle Tea Lounge, located at 109 N. 12th Street in the Channelside District of Tampa will be exhibiting the abstract art and local nature photographs of Tampa Bay Area native, Nicki La Rosa. Upon graduation from Florida State University Film Conservatory, Nicki spent 15 years working in Los Angeles; training in film production, fine art and Buddhist study. She worked as a production assistant on the “The Matrix Reloaded,” “The Matrix Revolutions”, “The Truman Show” (shot in FL), and as an executive assistant on 20th Century Fox’s “The Simpsons.” Her and love of the sea, trees and mother nature is evident in her abstract paintings and un-filtered photography. Nicki currently teaches abstract art and nature integration through her company, “Gratitude Tree Network,” at the Centre for Girls in a program of the Centre for Women. Nicki instructs, “In abstract art, there are no rules. Activate your creative freedom..and delight us with what’s in your heart. That is true art.” Her work has been exhibited in several Los Angeles galleries, Venice Beach, and painted murals for the Lankershim Arts Center and SGI Buddhist store, Morning Sun. She has a 240’ square foot mural on permanent display at the Motion Picture Industry Pension and Health offices in Studio City, CA. as well as painted a mural on the front door of The Centre for Girls, Tampa, FL. Through her dedication to the ideals of the Lotus Sutra and passion for art, activism, peace and equality, Nicki’s company,“Gratitude Tree Network” (facebook/GratitudeTreeNetwork) seeks to create value in daily life and one day will be a 24/7 television channel dedicated to gratitude - produced right here in Tampa Bay. The Bamboozle Tea Lounge is open Mondays-Fridays, 10:30 - 9pm, Saturdays 11-9pm and Sundays 11-3pm.
