Ancient Ireland Photography Series

Hi, I'm George Pennock, a photographer from Belfast, Northern Ireland. I love wedding and portrait photography and over recent months I've been focusing on landscapes in my free time. It's a good excuse to get out and explore the marvellous Irish countryside. We are blessed with some really beautiful natural scenery here and when the weather is kind can make for some great photography. I'm currently working on the theme of Ancient Ireland. We have some wonderful sites here, from ancient ruins to magical stone circles and my passion is to capture and convey some of the Celtic mysticism and history. It also ties in with some of the locations used in the fantastic HBO series Game of Thrones. Locations such as Ballintoy, The Dark Hedges and Inch Abbey have all featured prominently in the show. My aim is to continue to explore some of the lesser known spots and document a visual journey of Ancient Ireland over the coming year or so. I have at least one exhibition organised for next year and hope for more. Ultimately I plan to publish a book on my work to share with you. My photography looks great as large format prints and canvases so have a look at my gallery.
