I had such a wonderful time! I’m so glad that I came and you did an excellent job teaching the workshop. Although my background is in the arts, drawing was not an area that I was ever really comfortable in. I have always been a more hands on creative type, which led to me earning my degree in jewelry/metalsmithing.
When I first saw the Zentangle photo posted, I thought, “That is awesome! I wish I could do that.” And I admit that I was a little nervous about the workshop. The way you presented it was perfect. The phrase that stuck with me was that “If you can write your name, you can Zentangle.” It was interesting to deconstruct all those patterns and I feel like it will help me with my jewelry design. There was a great balance between the structure of learning and the ability to experiment.

I loved the Zentangle class. I can't believe it was only your second workshop---you're a great instructor. And my friend loved her birthday present beginner kit. I did forward your email, telling her to send you an email so you could let her know when and where you'll be teaching.

I was visiting my mom last week and she thought it would be a great thing for us to do together. I really enjoyed the class. I thought you did a great job explaining and demonstrating how to do the patterns. It was so interesting to see how everybody's designs turned out different. I had fun at your class and am excited to try more Zentangles on my own. I have taken a number of drawing and watercolor classes at NHAC since I retired from Nursing several yeas ago. I haven't done much art work lately, but I am anxious to try the Zentangle projects since it provides instant satisfaction along with its calming effects. I showed Zentangles to my sister-in-law yesterday and I am going to sign us up for the July class. I have a feeling that once word gets out, you are going to be very busy! I’m a professional freelance writer and I’m always looking for ways to infuse creativity into my day. I love the feel of a pen scratching along paper, I love activities that provide positive feedback and the creation of something satisfying and enjoyable. Zentangle was the perfect fit for me! I’m not an artist, but during the class I was able to let go and enjoy the process and the result. I can’t wait to participate in another class and continue to learn on my own.
