Limited Edition Prints...

January 29th, 2015 - San Tan Valley, AZ

Darren LaFreniere is an avid Panoramic and Landscape Photographer originally from the east coast of the United States. He has been studying the art of photography since middle school and focuses much of his work off the proverbial beaten path. Now, many years and thousands of images later, he mixes between digital and film mediums. He primarily shots his Fuji G617 Panoramic camera and his Mamiya 645 Pro but, also shoots a variety of 35mm film cameras including a Minolta Maxxum 7, a Dynax700si, a Pentax K1000, and a Petri FT. Darren currently shoots his digital images with the SONY a99, a77, or the Canon T2i.

His immense respect for nature is reflected heavily in many of his works. He spends a lot of time simply scouting locations visualizing the end piece long before releasing the shutter. He also, admittedly, enjoys the unpredictability of chance and luck. "Sometimes, things just happen - you're at the right place at the right time with the right tools..." he says. "Luck, or whatever you want to call it, is on my side."

Some of Darren's work is also available in extremely high-resolution (1000+ MB) limited edition, signed prints on Fuji's Crystal Archive paper. By limited, he means LIMITED. Some pieces will be limited to a maximum of only (10) pieces and the prices will reflect that accordingly. He will also sell the original film with the very last piece in any given run (as applicable). Currently, "Dusk On Tillamook Bay" is the only piece that falls into the High-Resolution Limited Edition Print. For the last print in the series, the film will be permanently encased in an Acrylic plaque and therefore rendered useless for future printing or scans. These final print / film releases will NOT go cheap. If you are a serious art collector and have interest in such a piece, please contact Darren directly to discuss pricing.
