Ruth this is very beautiful painting, with such a very wonderful feel. Instantly when one sees this marvellous paint they feel no fear for the child. Because you know he is safe. If the Angel was not in the painting instantly one would feel fear. And the painting would take on a sad mood. It's a good feeling that one does not need to fear. I wish everone could feel this way. I'm shure glade you do. God bess you and your hands to paint more inspiring artwork to help others along the way. It's so lovely to meet people like you along the path.

Hi Lee, Your "Early To Rise" scene reminds me of Clendenin, Wv during the 1940's close to Charelston. I almost missed "Benny Kicks It Out" and had to grin when I saw it after the more traditional compositions. Your command of primal colors and detail is very very good. The commentary is a real plus because it allows the viewer to get some sense of where you are coming from and where you have been. Too many artists neglect this. You are also fortunate to have embraced music and particularly Jazz. I am this minute staring at posters of John Coltrane and Sonny Rollins with Miles Davis just out of view along with Charlie Parker, Art Tatum, and many others. We have an amazing number of things in common. I am older than my photo--actually a young 72 and still looking forward. Thanks for sharing about the Skove ducks. P.S. My wife has a degree in art but does not engage. She does not paint . Go figure. Once again, thanks and I am looking forward to your next posting. Jerry (Lee) .
