This group is dedicated for works of art (paintings and photography) that elicit memories and nostalgia to you. Some of the images will also activate collective memories or memories of nostalgic experiences, sights and scenes of the past in the lives of the beholders. Also, please be clear that all images must be associated to nostalgic experiences, not negative, traumatic, or disaster related. Subjects may include any form of nature (animals, flowers, forests, beaches, oceans, etc.), people, and architectural or historical sites.
Rule #1: No nudity; no explicit sensuality; family friendly
Rule #2: Only 1 per day per member. Posting more than the Daily Limit may result in rejection and eventual removal from the group.
Rule #3: No work will be accepted without a description that is according to the theme of the group. Themes should complement the image in terms of why it evokes memories and nostalgia to you, to society, etc. Think about giving educational and historical value to your description, if possible. Moreover, the description must discuss briefly the particular experience that is related to the memories and nostalgia in the image. This will be one of the criteria for choosing which images to feature. You may also use a poem or a quote. Descriptions are very important in order to get featured in this group. At times the nostalgic and memorable evoking effects predominate, at time the description tells us why this image is memorable and nostalgic, and sometime there is an equal balance between both
Each image submitted is reviewed by the administrator who visits the main image page in FAA to appreciate both the image and the description. Descriptions that merely says where the photo was taken, for example, or that is only an announcement for buyers or a signature from the artist are not counted
Final Note: I retain the right to accept, reject, or remove members based on negative behavior in FAA or lack or affinity with the group's theme. ___________________________________________
