New members wanting to join this group are welcome to do so knowing this type of group is seeking a variety of images. This group was started as a promotional effort to showcase images in a retail store (greeting cards). This group recently expanded to include uniqueness and creativity. Not all submittals (regardless of artistic talent), will get featured.
MOST IMAGES ARE REJECTED in this group. Thank you for your contributions. I am selecting images based on a variety of factors. Good images do get rejected. See criteria below.
HOW IMAGES ARE SELECTED
The criteria involved in selection of images (for features) to make a nice looking greeting card or poster involves: (1) print quality (not too dark or too light - needs to reproduce in a clear manner); (2) price point can affect sales (will your image speak to what you want out of it); (3) fit or appeal (general public appears to purchase off of emotional appeal); and, (4) image popularity (to be determined - this is generally based on demographics or geographical area).
ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATION
If your image does not get selected, it does not mean that you have an unacceptable image. I select different types of features each week.
