Description
There's a little man inside that scoreboard that changes the score by manually inserting a number. As a child, I was mesmerized by that simple act. Quite simply, Wrigley Field is one of two ball parks to still operate a hand-turned scoreboard; the other is in Fenway Stadium. Built in 1937, the scoreboard is a fixture in Wrigley Field and a tradition that, I hope, continues.

Thanks, Aurelio. Glad you liked the story behind that scoreboard. It might be old and antiquated, but the tradition counts for so much more.
