WINTER AT MATTIE'S RANCH by PRISCILLA BURGERS

Image is the old ranch buildings known as Mattie's Ranch in the original True Grit movie. It lies ten miles west of Ridgway, Colorado on Last Dollar Road. Much of the ranch retains its True Grit look and feel. The hill behind the barn is where, at the end of the movie, Rooster Cogburn proclaims, "Well come see an old fat man sometime!" as he jumps his horse over the fence with a wave of his hat.
