I spotted this wildflower on a hike at Wild Rivers Recreation Area, New Mexico.
While hiking I get distracted by all the beauty of nature and sometimes, well often, my hikes go much slower than they should. But how can one really resist stopping to get a good close look at the little things that could so easily be passed by. Just goes to show that if you slow down and get that close look there is always something you would not see if you just walked on by thinking what a pretty, bright flower that was. I definitely would not have seen the smiley face on this wildflower! Isn't nature fascinating? I think so!!
