Painting - Watercolor & Rice Paper
Description
The leaves have gone from the trees, leaving the empty branches to form a pattern against the quiet morning fog. I have used rice paper to enhance the rock textures, and I have used the negative painting technique to do the background.

Carolyn, I'm making a revisit to this awe inspiring artwork! This one pulls me into the scene, past the foreground boulders & trees, and quietly into the fog… So well done! L&F

Great example of wintery depth in the woods. I like the darker color in the front, as it shows how snow covered trees seem to become less significant to the scene as the depth of field increases. Love this one. It is a pleasure to feature this one of a kind watercolor beauty on our homepage of WFS group. Congratulations!
