Thank you Erika! The lines in this abandoned home site out in the middle of nowhere attracted me :)

Mick buddy, kind sir, I thought I'd stop by your neighborhood to see what's shakin'. I'm delighted to see we share the love of nostalgia. I hope someday you can make it to our neck of the woods and see for yourself dozens of charming relics of the past in the form of mining rig from the turn of the century (late 1800s) in the historic mountain town of Cripple Creek, located at about 10,000 feet on the southwest slope of America's favorite mountain, Pikes Peak. Cripple Creek/Victor district is one of the most productive gold mines in the world. In some areas it looks as if time has stood still for about 130 years. They've done such a good job of preserving the rig in its original shape.

Mick Anderson replied:

Bijan, that is one fine commentary!! :) I will surely make a plan to visit your neck of the woods in the future!! More than a couple of friends here on FAA have suggested that Colorado is THE place to come for fine photography!! The more I hear, the more I believe!! :)))
