Description
This skull graffiti is painted on the iron side of a railroad trussel. This spiderweb is framed in the iron hand railings of a foot-bridge that runs parallel to the train trussel 15 ft. away. While on a morning walk around the back side of Capital Lake in Downtown Olympia, I started to photograph the spiderwebs when the skull graffiti came into view. I like the contradiction of the graffitti paint, the iron trussel and iron hand railings offset by nature in the water flowing underneath me and the spiderweb I was taking photos through. And the contradiction of 'anarchy' in the midst of nature and what is natural. I felt the different textures, colors, and the differences between man made and nature made seemed in the back drop of Capital Lake a spiritual experience and expression. Thus titled: 'Anarchy of the Saints.' This skull and webbing from different perspective can also be seen in my photos titled: Alchemy of the Saints and: Anarchy of the Saints
