Description
This area can be seen as an Eagle sees it by watching a Youtube video named, “Weaver’s Needle from the air”
This painting has been selected to be in a National Fine Art Show called FLIGHT/VUELO. I invite everybody to the show and Artist Reception, on Friday, March 18, 2016, at 5:00 PM. The show will running through April 24th. The show will be held at the TUBAC CENTER OF THE ARTS in Tubac, Arizona.
Bald Eagles have been sighted in Arizona. They seem to have discovered the Verde and Salt River basins as well as the man made lakes in the area. Here, mother eagle has built her nest several hundred feet above the base of Weaver's Needle on the sheer vertical cliff. Her day starts early and she is now flying over the rugged Superstition Wilderness with the famous crag towering nearby. She can soar effortlessly to reach any of four lakes or the salt river if she wants to catch some fish. The views of what she sees must be spectacular from up there so I decided to capture the mood, beauty and emotion of such an amazing bird and place!

This is such an exceptional piece, dear Jerry. Weavers Needle is an area I would love to explore. I love the atmospheric aura of the layers and layers of background rock formations. The colors are so glorious, purple being my favorite color. I am ecstatic over the ingenious perspective of the bird's-eye view, with the bald eagle telling the story, as it soars over all this grandeur. Your gallery of work is such a pleasure to explore, "so wondrously authentic and alive," as Eva so eloquently put it, and found true for herself when she visited from Northern Macedonia. Bravo!!!
