Description
This is the lighthouse at Race Rocks, a group of rocks and reefs which lie just off the coast of western Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada, and is the only rock-built lighthouse in British Columbia. It was first lit December 26, 1860, and has served uninterrupted to today. The area around it is now an Ecological Reserve for B.C.Parks,administered by the Lester B.Pearson College of the Pacific. In the background are the Olympic Mountains in Washington State, across the waters of the Strait of Juan de Fuca.

I would say you accomplished your objective of showing the majesty of the Olympic Mountain range and illustrating your lighthouse as the subject. Appropriate title. V

Wow factor, George! I love the majesty of the snow covered mountains, and the silhouetted lighthouse in the middle ground of the piece. Very well illustrated, George!
George Cousins replied:
Many thanks Randy, glad you liked it. Though I've been around it in my boat, this was taken at 400mm. from a headland on the coast. I wanted the perspective of the mountains towering overhead.
