Description
Indian Cliff Art, just outside Moab, Utah in Canyon Lands National Park. This type of cliff art is known as a petroglyph as it is not a painting wherein they stained the rock, but it is made by scratching away the iron oxide patina (hence the red/orange color) covering the cliff's rock face.
Now why would anyone suppose that these figures look like aliens? That's obviously a blow dryer in his hand!

Thank you. Amazing that we can reach out and put our hand on that kind of history, isn't it? Of course some people reach out and scratch their initials on 3000 yr old antiquities. And in some parts of the world they blow them up in service to their god.
