Description
This painting was part of an exhibition in Philadelphia. The exhibition was a collaboration of my family in which several of the members are artists. One member who is a photographer and painter, brought back a photo of a woman in Africa going about her daily wash day chores. We all did a rendition of the photo in our various mediums and styles. I chose to focus on the mother's movement and form and the child's undisturbed comfort within her movement.
