Description
The Meehikoorma church, originally built in 1895, has lain in ruins since 1944. These days all that remains is the facade of the tower. Storks have built a nest at the top, and return each spring to the same nest. Estonians believe white stork bring babies, good luck ,happiness and harmony to a family on whose property they nest because of this many people are welcome storks. It was a complete surprise to see so many Storks nesting all over the city in Estonia.

Such a charming celebratory image - love the storks' nest atop the church ruins. A symbol of new life, the storks' nesting place seems to reinvent the the church remnants with the hope of spring. Very nice, Misuk (smiles).

Hi Misuk... I like the toned down colors on this. Old Ruins are something I always love too. Keep these coming!

V nice work on the ruins of this building and the wintery surrounding gives it a somewhat mystical feel to it! f/v
