Vishnu and Krishna exist eternally, although it might be said that one is the source of the other, much like the sun and its rays: The sun globe is "prior" in the sense that its rays emanate from it, and not the other way around. But they both exist simultaneously: As soon as there is a sun, there are sunrays. The question, then, becomes this: In the case of Vishnu and Krishna, who is the sun and who are the rays? (Although traditionally the analogy of the sun and its rays is used in regard to the Supreme Lord and the living entities, it can apply here as well, in the sense that we are trying to discern the source of God's various manifestations.)

Dear Randy. Thank you for another wonderful comment. I'm glad you like this. Actually I'm still working on the original painting, but I've been having fun creating digitally enhanced editions of the paintings in progress. Unfortunately all these editions are rather confusing but I really enjoy seeing how I can use a relatively early painting to make something eye catching.
