Description
Painting of a typical idyllic village scene in South India. It is a lush place, with water, grass, school girls coming home, smiling girls carrying water pots on their heads, children playing on bicycles, goats, and bullock carts. Everyone is relaxed and living happily side by side.
The houses are quite rustic, made of bricks or mud. In the background, a man is driving a bullock cart full of sugar cane, the main crop in South India. Some chickens and cows are part of the picture. At the bottom right, a sort of water fountain is dripping.

Excellent painting Dominique. Love the spotlight on the two women with pots on their heads especially the one on the right with the graceful pose. The whole image is magical!

Dominique, your gallery is full of excellent images I could choose any one. But this one for me is outstanding with the composition and the lighting! Love the little chickens in the left corner.

This is so much like what I saw all over India. You've depicted Indian life so well with your paintings. l/f
