Description
My original painting of this scene was done outdoors( En Plein Air), on a cold November day. I used that painting as a reference for a larger one seen here. It is a simple view of Boston Harbor as seen from Deer Island, which is an extension of Winthrop, Massachusetts. It was a brisk, windy day as revealed by the white caps and the seagulls flying about. I can still feel the chill from that day, painting outside.
