VENICE. IL BACINO ORSEOLO by IGOR SAKUROV.

Il Bacino Orseolo is an extension of water located in Venice in the San Marco, behind the square.
This is a small crescent-shaped lagoon, positioned directly behind the factory Procuratie Vecchie, which have been opened in 1863 during a series of urban restructuring that affected the city, with the express purpose of creating a landing for gondolas near the historic city center . To achieve this, it proceeded to the demolition of the area and the demolition of many of the existing buildings.
