Every spring the first thing I get to photograph are the tulips on display at New York's Botanical Gardens. This is when I know spring had finally arrived for real. I have a great many of these images on my hard drives but few of them ever see light of day. Looking at your image I would never have guessed it was painted from scratch if you hadn't made a point of saying so. Beautiful creation and so very well and realistically painted. Marvelous work.

Thank you, Chris. If you zoom right in you will see it's painted, although I am trying hard to get away from such realism now. I can understand why you like tulips - the way light comes through them is beautiful, so post your images!!!

absolutely yummy, Zeana ... gorgeous rich color and oooo that light!!!! i also like the soft, muted green of the background ... it really sets the reds and yellows and oranges up so well!!!!!!!!
