Description
A touch of spring light on the ground and in the deciduous trees inspired this landscape oil painting. The sun was getting close to setting on an early spring afternoon and the country lane was dappled with shadows. Green, gold, and purple dominated the rural setting. The texture of the road and the scrappy underbrush left a fresh sensation that demanded I paint the feeling of the scene. Capturing that sparkle on the leaves and the clear skies was exhilarating.
The original oil painting was created on an 11x14 inch stretched canvas.
