Description
The Amur tiger is the largest of all cats and is the top predator in its native eastern Asia. They prey mainly on larger mammals such as deer and wild boar. At one time they roamed over large areas of Asia but are now mostly limited to the northern end of their ancient range. In the 1930�s they were nearly extinct but are now rebounding in the wild. This cat is one of the many features of the Minnesota Zoo.
