This picture was taken shortly after my grandson was born. My father had moved in with us five years before, because of Alzheimers. He was about halfway through his journey at the time. He was still in there. And I had a sense of knowing that he was ok to hold my grandson for a few minutes. I got to take care of my grandson a lot of the time. And they became good friends. Dad was around for another eight years, I do think he still knew that I loved him in the end.
