Description
Thousand Trails (TTN) is a membership campground we have enjoyed for decades, this view is one of many in the park. We have spent time in 57 parks, usually at least three weeks a year, then some we especially like with another a 100-150 miles away, we have bounced back and forth between two of them for months. We have been living in Thousand Trails since 1992 full time. There are all kinds of recreation here. You can also go hiking in many areas around the parks or in the park. We used to go backpacking around, but getting too old for that, so quit about ten years ago. There are just too many things to do here to list them all.

You can go hiking in many areas around the parks or in the park. We used to go backpacking around, but getting too old for that, so quit about ten years ago. There are just too many things to do here to list them all. Thousand Trails is a group of over 81 private campground resorts (referred to as "preserves" because the company is dedicated to preserving the environment and wildlife in the parks. They have strict rules about annoying wildlife, etc.
.....
As of 2010, TTN had 130,000 "member families" and over 10,000 more joined in 2011. Many due to the Financial situation, have been storing RVs at the nearest park, then going to them to put it on a site. Saves a lot of fuel.
.....
Located right off the scenic Natchez Trace Parkway, this 830-acre forested preserve features a large 3 mile long lake, pontoon tours, and excellent fishing for bass, shellcracker, crappie and more. Not far away, Nashville offers many sports and entertainment attractions. Other interesting day trips include Loretta Lynn's Dude Ranch in Hurricane Mills and the home of President James Polk in Columbia.

Bob, What a remarkable spot to find and to be able to capture this in all of it's beauty like you have is even better. The great water ripples in the lake as they come to shore are so clear and the beautiful green trees surrounding the lake is outstanding. In addition, to that wonderful sky that you have captured all in the same shot. Great angle to have taken this fantastic photot at. Beautiful photo, fav, voted, google promoted. In addition, a big thank you for featuring my photo of the Drive-In Snack Tray in the group, Artist News -1, ironically the biggest response I have been getting has been from adults saying this brings back such memories. Again for you to take the time out to comment on it really means a lot. Thank you again
