"The Trees Out Back, No. 5" is an original watercolor, 11" X 15" on 300-pound Kilimanjao cold press paper using American Journey and Davinci paints. The painting is one in a series of paintings which explore the wonderful shapes and forms of the Texas Live Oaks and Elms which are native to the Texas Hill Country where I live and paint. The painting uses color and light to transform an ordinary and common subject into something noteworthy and memorable.
