Many thanks Sebastian for this feature. I have a gallery devoted to environmental issues and this one is current...a ship filled with oil getting ready to sink. Always a problem. So appreciate your gallery and the work you do for it!

Gloomy and eerie scene, Nancy, as the green life is being submerged by the inky oily slime!...which is certainly what the title implies as well! It is so sad what man is doing to this world. I sure hope we figure out some solutions and fast! Wonderful work!....vf
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Certainly eerie.....Hurry up solar people....hurry. And let's get small wind machines. Remember all the early farms....all of those iconic windmills....why not?

Love this mood filled abstract; I think I see shark fins cutting through the waves! LF
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Especially this week....I've never seen so many attacks...poor North Carolina!!! And swimmers!

What a wonderful interpretation! I didn't have the title in mind until I actually saw these colors and experienced the feeling of oil, especially in the foreground.

F/L This is awesome, Nancy. If someone asked me to tell what I see, I'd say, "There is the green of living plants, gold of sunshine, blue of water, and all these marvels of our earth are being overshadowed by the black of oil." Dramatic series, Nancy!!!!

Love this rendition! So deep and beautiful! Fl
Nancy Kane Chapman replied:
Thanks so much, Nikki. The computer helped darken the colors...and add that green cast.
