Sometimes the price of fame is your soul, or drugs, death or loneliness. The spotlight is exactly what you are after, but the life can be overwhelming, unless the person is grounded. If not, the very thing you desire kills you, after you have given it your heart.
Kind'a gruesome, I know, but this is a "show piece", meant to assault your senses with truth hard not to see. You have a wall for this, especially if you have sought this fame. The Rolling Stones sang, "would it be enough, for your teenage lust...?" If you prefer to show it with frame and mat, consider the same sensibility, and choose something like a Newport Blue with a black frame to embellish the pretty circus colors. People will enjoy the attractive colors, before they "see" the image. Impact!

Fantastic painting and portfolio Joseph. The image speaks volumes about the dark side of fame. I enjoyed what you wrote in the description too concerning being grounded. Very important! Many have destroyed themselves. Very tragic. The heart, knives, the audience ....giving everything you have to the audience but nothing left for yourself, your spirit or your soul. The human condition resides in your artwork. What a journey I took moving through your images. Honest, real and gutsy. Love this!
