A lone 14th-century pilgrim on his way to St. Winifrede's Well in Flintshire, Wales, pauses to admire the beauty of the firmament.
Known as 'the Lourdes of Wales' owing to the miraculous cures attributed to its waters, St. Winifrede's well has been a site of pilgrimage since the 7th century AD. Richard Lionheart, Henry V and James II are some of the English monarchs known to have visited and venerated this holy site.,
Re-imagined from a daylight snap shared by Constance Widen.

This pathway leads one on a stroll into a magical place where the forest sky is set alight with the sparkle of light upon the leaves that look like the stars. This green space is an enchanting place that this woman walks and I cannot help but follow to marvel at these magical woods. L/F
