New England winters are famous for their harshness, but also for their beauty. These trees are in my back yard. They create a solid boarder between my back yard and the road I live on. They also look amazing covered in a blanket of snow. This snow is heavy and weighs down the boughs. My husband planted these trees when my oldest child was a baby. I thought it would take forever for them to grow tall and provide the necessary privacy that I sought. But while I was raising my son, and sequentially his sister and brother, these trees were growing without me really paying any attention. Now my boy is practically grown up, as are the trees. The passage of time is an amazing concept.
