It's never too late to discover who you really are (or could be...)!
Now, I know this might sound like a cliche phrase, just as a few years ago it would have sound to me. But after you experience such moment of revelation, everything changes. You no longer have to play cool or appear sophisticated.
The trick is that merely envisioning Her is not enough. You have to become Her in "real", everyday life. You have to take the risk(s), shake the greyness off, run and howl as you please! But then, that too is just the beginning of a long journey, a lifetime one, full of threats and temptations to turn back and deny Her again...

I dedicate this summer 2013 piece to my life partner, Marinko, who has seen and known the Wild Woman long before I have. He kept calling it (the painting) Colourful Star, which sounds a lot better in Croatian than it does in English, and together we settled for Rainbow Star. Love the kitsch of it!
I also dedicate it to my dear friend, Sandra, who has had a similar life-changing vision and is well on her way now...

This was the theme of one of my favorite TV shows on LOGO, Rupaul's Drag U, a spinoff of Rupaul's Drag Race. It was dedicated to bringing the inner drag queens out of ordinary women. It was both hilarious and deeply touching. l, f, WHAT?
