Description
This isn't the famous astronomical clock inside Strasbourg Cathedral. It's the clock on the outside wall, above a statue of the Virgin Mary.
Can't seem to find out much about it. An inscription just above it (not shown) says it was renovated in 1841. The date in the lower left in Roman numerals says 1532.
Around the outside of the clock are the hours. Inside that are the days of the week in French, starting with Dimanche (Sunday) and running clockwise. Next are the symbols for Jupiter (the one the shortest hand is pointing to), Venus, Saturn, the Sun, the Moon, Mars, and Mercury.
As you can see, I snapped this shot shortly before 11 am on a Thursday.
