THE MILKY WAY TREE
A crescent moon rises under the arc of the Milky Way at Big Cypress National Preserve in Florida. A long exposure on the water was used to create the silky smooth effect. There are very few places to see the Milky Way on the East Coast, especially if you live near a metropolitan or suburban area. Viewing the Milky Way is best done far from city lights and light pollution.
