NOTE: FINE ART AMERICA WATERMARK WILL NOT APPEAR ON PURCHASED IMAGE.
The sun filled kitchen of one of the homes that can be viewed at Old Bedford Village, in Bedford, Pennsylvania.
Old Bedford Village is very much like Williamsburg, Virginia, except that the structures that can be seen here are not reproductions, but are actual homes, schools, churches and stores ... rescued, moved to the site and renovated. Visiting this wonderful village is like walking back through time. The official website can be seen here:

If you're ever in the area, I encourage you to spend a day or two there. Check out the website for dates of exciting adventures including historical re-enactments, murder mystery evenings and many other living history events.
Image taken with the Nikon D300 in October of 2010 and edited in various version of Photoshop and other programs to give a painterly and nostalgic feeling.

So pretty and vintage. LOve your work! Makes you wonder what went on in this cozy kitchen. If walls could talk. L

Thanks so much, Miriam ... you described this one perfectly ... cozy it surely is!!! To the immediate left (and I regret I didn't manage to get it into the picture) is a lovely fireplace, too!!!
