Springs begins in March in the Desert, AAA always has info when the flowers are blooming, so its a good idea to check and catch them at the height of the season... This is unlike most of the park, images of the flowers will be coming. This areas is very close to Yuma Arizona, and may not even be in the park, as it is not actually in California....

Anzac Borrego State Park is only about a 45 minute drive from the Palm Springs area. The drive through the park has wonder vistas and the wild flowers are in bloom in March. The town of Borrego Springs has over 100 metal sculptures called Sky Art. It is something to see. There are lots of hiking opportunities at the park.

Full hook UPS are great, and they provide showers. Hiking is good in the cool of the morning.It's too hot to hike in June- Sept. however. Very nice for snow birds in the winter as the.temps are in the 70's-80's. Timing is important here!
See California as the first inhabitants saw it at this beautiful, 600,000 acre desert park. The park balances environmental wonders with practical recreation such as the State Vehicular Recreation Center at Ocotillo Wells. Popular in spring for its desert wildflowers, which burst into bloom suddenly, the park provides a special number for wildflower fans. A good vehicle, plenty of water, good shoes and common sense are essentials
