Description
My gratitude to everyone who has brought love and light to my world.
I came up with idea of an Angel holding the moon, and the title within five minutes of painting this concept. The angel paired with the moon seemed to fit somehow--at least to me. The Moon is literally a black mass and not the source of light on it's own. However in a monthly cycle, it becomes fully iluminated--the gift of light. On the rare occasion or once in a blue moon, two can become illuminated within a cycle. That is only if the universe is in perfect alignment.
The symbolism
One must faced one's darkness, to recognize and appreciate the light.
One must understand one's own fear (and blocks and response patterns against love--limited beliefs) in order to know unconditional love.
The soul of the matter is in the knowing--no need, in fact impossible, to convince the ego.
Thank you for visiting.
Second piece inspired by Dido lyrics.
"White Flag"
A bit of trivia: the north and south moon nodes are associated with one's soul's purpose.
