Description

Morning breaks to a beautiful dawn, showcasing the snowcapped, volcanic Mount Hood in Oregon at sunrise, with a perfect reflection on peaceful Trilium Lake. I arose in the middle of the night to drive in the darkness to get this shot. There are so many great compositions to be made here at lovely Trilium Lake, and this one with the rocks seemingly aligned to the curvature of the reflection in the water is one of my personal favorites. At dawn the lake is at its best - peaceful, undisturbed, just the sound of a rushing creek, a singing bird and the stillness of a new day in the mountains.
